Working to a tight timeframe, our client needed a better understanding of the hiring environment for six different skill-set areas, ranging from policy to cyber security to data analysis in relation to a major North of England-based UK city.
Our research covered the city’s overall talent pool, economic position and profile from an employment and skills perspective. We then focused in on each of the skill-set talent pools, mining a myriad of data and information from job adverts, regional demographic data and paid for insights. We analysed data from the largest employers in the regions for those skill-sets, as well as uncovering the aspirations and motivations of individuals within those talent pools. We also went beyond the six skill-sets to look at other roles and motivations to provide a bigger picture analysis.
Our research report is now being used by this major UK financial institution to inform its employer branding and talent attraction strategies. It will support in the decision making process to future proof its talent strategy.
