The challenge

We work with a global engineering client on an ongoing basis, to provide fractional talent acquisition support. They have a small talent acquisition team and occasionally need support to cope with peaks in activity. They also have ongoing needs in specific locations for the same skills sets and as these are talent pools with high competition and demand, they know that a talent pooling approach works well to build medium and long term interest.

What we delivered

We met with the client to gain an overall understanding of the organisation, including key priorities and areas of specific need. We agreed a way of working, which meant that we would support them for a set number of days per month. This would include one off support, such as reaching out to candidates for confidential roles, and the remaining time would be spent building talent pools in 2 key locations, with the aim of finding candidates for immediate vacancies, but also highlighting key talent for future, through making initial contact and introductions.

Outcomes

Our relationship with our client is ongoing. The talent pools that we are building have resulted in multiple candidate introductions and we continue to build this, shifting in line with new priorities.

As our relationship develops, we are able to shift and be flexible in line with changing needs and priorities. We have also provided additional support on one off projects, where we have been able to hit the ground running, given our overall understanding of the organisation and culture.
