The challenge

Our client, a global technology consultancy, was growing rapidly and although they had a large talent acquisition team, they required specialised support to find niche technical talent in specific locations in EMEA. They were interested in female talent and would look to create roles for females with relevant skills sets, but ultimately were looking for individuals who were experienced in specific Microsoft based technology, such as Dynamics 365 and Azure.

The client knew that that there was a high level of competition within the talent pool and low levels of engagement, so they wanted additional support for their talent acquisition team, but also a different approach.

What we delivered

Following a detailed briefing with the Hiring Managers and the Talent Acquisition team, we gained a insight into what had been done with the talent attraction for the roles so far. Our role was to add to what had been done, rather than duplicate, so we worked with the Talent Acquisition team to define a key target area and a process, so that all candidates once engaged could be quickly introduced to the business and moved through the process.

We used a range of methodology beyond Linkedin in order to find relevant candidates who fit the brief on paper, looking to widen the talent pool as much as possible.

We conducted research into how the talent pool liked to be approached and used various methods to engage and reach out to candidates, working with the Talent Acquisition team to highlight selling points.

The outcomes

We presented a range of candidates to our client, uncovering those that they had not been aware of, and using different strategies to engage with this in demand talent pool. We were able to save our client time by going through the time intensive process of finding and engaging candidates. This way they could concentrate on ensuring that they hired the best talent. This approach was cost saving compared to agency costs, or hiring an additional team member.
