The challenge

Our client a global leader in energy transition and renewable innovation had a strong track record of attracting talent. However, during a key growth phase in the Nordic region, they recognised the need for targeted support to meet increasing demand for highly skilled professionals in critical technical areas. While the organisation’s employer brand was strong, the challenge lay in effectively scaling teams with the right capabilities, particularly in a region where talent pipelines had not been deeply explored.

What we delivered

We partnered with the client to deliver a talent strategy focused not just on hiring for today, but building capability for future growth:

Rather than focus narrowly on job titles or seniority levels, we aligned with the client on a skills-based approach. This enabled us to identify high-potential candidates across a range of profiles who could grow with the business.

We launched a targeted talent pooling project in the Nordic market identifying, mapping, and engaging a wide pool of relevant professionals across the energy and adjacent sectors. Our conversations emphasised the client’s compelling mission, technical innovation, and career development opportunities.

Interested candidates were guided through a technical evaluation designed by the client, ensuring alignment with role requirements and organisational expectations. This also helped build a robust understanding of the skills landscape in the region.

Outcomes

Our work delivered immediate hires and longer-term talent value:

We uncovered a relatively untapped pool of highly relevant candidates. This resulted in six successful hires for critical roles, each aligned with the client’s technical and cultural requirements.

Beyond immediate placements, we helped build a warm, engaged network of skilled professionals in the Nordics, creating a go-to pipeline for future hiring needs as the client continues its growth.

By taking a consultative, research-led approach, we not only filled roles but also supported the client’s broader growth ambitions in a high-priority region.
