The challenge

We work in partnership with our client – a leader in cyber security, which works with multi-national organisations and government bodies to help them manage their cyber security protection. While many individuals are interested in the organisation and they typically receive a good level of applications, the quality is not always at the standard required. The client has a very small talent acquisition team with multiple priorities and so they needed additional capacity and capability to hire two mid level technical roles.

What we delivered

We worked with the client to understand the context of the project, liaising with the Hiring Manager and the Talent Acquisition Manager. As this was a technical role, there were a number of requirements and skills sets needed, so we looked to understand these in detail and to understand the client’s priorities.

We needed to work quickly to help with two open vacancies, but the client was also interested in creating a pool of interested candidates for future vacancies as this was a role that they hired repeatedly.

We used a range of methodologies to find candidates in the given locations that met the criteria. We then reached out to the talent with key selling points to engage them into the process. We held detailed screening conversations and presented those that met the brief to the client for further interviews.

Outcomes

We presented a number of quality candidates that were interested in immediate vacancies, and an additional talent pool that were really interested in our client and wanted to be contacted for future vacancies. The client identified the candidates within this pool that they wanted to consider for an upcoming role, with similar skills sets but a different focus. We worked with the client to ensure that all candidates wanted to be part of the talent pool and as part of the project fee, are helping to maintain communication with the group of interested candidates.
