Sector: Manufacturing

Location: Czechia

The challenge

Our client, a global manufacturing business, created a new position to lead Group-level Health and Safety (QHSE). The company had grown both organically and through acquisitions, but until now, H&S had been managed locally, with no centralised strategy or group-wide oversight.

The new leadership role needed to be based in a remote part of Czechia but required experience at a global level within a large organisation, significantly narrowing the available talent pool.

What we delivered

Following a detailed briefing with the Operations Director (a Board-level stakeholder), we conducted targeted research in the local and regional markets to identify suitable businesses and candidate profiles.

Due to the niche nature of the role and limited candidate availability, we focused on identifying individuals with transferable skills and relevant leadership experience. We also placed strong emphasis on articulating the unique selling points of the opportunity to engage scarce talent.

Outcomes

Our research enabled us to provide the client with a clear, realistic view of the local talent landscape. Based on this insight, we worked with them to identify areas where they could remain flexible without compromising on core requirements.

We presented three highly relevant candidates, one of whom was offered and accepted the role.

  • Successful hire in a highly niche location and market segment
  • Clear, data-driven expectations set with the client from the outset
  • £15,000 saved on traditional Executive Search fees

Strategic research delivered valuable market insight beyond the immediate hire.
